If you carry a firearm into the public, you are at great risk of violating a law. Unfortunately, most of us fail to prepare to take legal care. If you are ever caught in an altercation and you are carrying your gun, are you legally prepared to avoid jail or high legal fees?
Every civilian gun carrier should have an ICE Pack ready to employ. Since you never really know when an emergency situation will occur, you should always have an “In Case of Emergency” legal plan ready to go.
As an estate planning attorney for 30 years, I have developed an emergency estate (ICE) plan that covers the following:
A quick call sheet with all important phone numbers. You make your one call from jail and your legal agent can make the other important calls to your attorney, your self-defense insurance carrier, your spouse or significant other, your employer, etc.

Worst case scenario, you are unconscious and cannot participate with any medical or health care decisions. You must have a patient advocate to step into your legal shoes to make important health care decisions while you are incapacitated.
Will you loved ones be barred or excluded from receiving your medical information by HIPAA? A simple release form will authorize who has access to your medical records and health care providers.
